OUR AIMS
STRONG GIRLS,
SAFE COMMUNITIES
THROUGH GIRLS' EDUCATION
Education is one of the most effective social equalizers for millions of women around the world. When girls are given equal opportunity and access to education, we witness improved health outcomes, lower birth rates, and more women in the workforce. Women who are actively empowered by education become business owners, community leaders, and educators.
Girls in the communities in which we work are faced not only with serious everyday poverty and restricted access to education, but are forced to deal with gender-based violence on a daily basis. They are denied the personal, social, and educational development they require to lead change in their communities and achieve sustainable development through which girls and young women can reach their full potential.
OUR GOALS
-
Improve participant’s academic performance and motivation through after-school leadership clubs and additional tutoring
-
Increase the ability of our participants to defend themselves against gender-based violence
-
Support leadership development training for girls and young women
-
Provide advice and learning events to other NGOs, funders and governments on curriculum design, impact evaluation and child protection
SHARING OUR KNOWLEDGE
We share our knowledge with other organizations through workshops and coaching. We focus on innovation techniques for program design, delivery, and evaluation, helping increase girls participation as participants and leaders.
